The terrinda revival takes on increased collectors pace with the pinnacle Fila Settanta Mk3 Terrinda tracksuit top arriving in 5 colours. Over the past years many originals fetched between £600-£1000 on eBay. It was the last of Bjorn Borgs Fila bj sponsored track tops and was seen as the key item for the casual elite in 1983-85.
The top has been brought back to attention through classic British films such as The Business and The Firm, both directed by Nick Love. After some years of much heartache and considerable ebay expense from many old skool 80s casual collectors Fila finally found a first class remake with the debut Red Terrinda arriving September 2009 only via www.80scasualclassics.co.uk at a very affordable £99.95. In 2010 5 colours emerge Fila Terrinda Navy, Fila Terrinda Red, Fila Terrinda French Blue and Fila Terrinda White and Fila Terrinda Kelly Green.
Nick Loves film The Business was a very popular one offering a true taster of a revival amongst casuals. The playboy Tamar Hassans character Charlie sports the Fila Terrinda Navy version throughout a well chosen powerful top By Nick Love seems him as classy hard and extremely cool .

With the popularity of Nick Loves film The Business growing all the time among casuals and film fans alike, the Fila Terrinda Track Top took on a leading role in his remake of the 80s classic The Firm- set many years earlier when it was all about the clothes – oneupmanship and the front runner fila terrinda. In The Firm it was worn by main characters Bex played by Paul Anderson and Dom played by Calum McNabb. A scene in the film sees Bex’s playing a game of 5 a side wearing the Fila Terrinda White with fellow mates sporting all colours Fila Terrinda Navy and Fila Terrinda Red. Paul Anderson’s character Bex often sports the Fila Terrinda French Blue along with Calum McNabb’s Dom wearing Fila Terrinda Red pictured below.
The Fila Terrinda was worn by the tennis monied elite, leading casuals and most respected style band of the time Wham who back in the 80s played a major part in Taking the Borg top to a wider audience. Both Andrew Ridgelely and George Michael sported the navy and french blue versions as pictured below seen on tour and in calenders, photo shoot etc.
Finally the biggest nod of all goes to Bjorn Borg the David Beckham of the day – Ice Cool respected with the best range of casual gear of the day. Filas major sporting sponsor was often seen in the uk in his Settanta Mk1 Track and Polo shirt wining wimbledon, in 1982-83 Fila and Borg went to a new level with a fashion style never seen on the court The Fila Settanta Mk3 today better known as the Terrinda a premium fine lightweight brushed velour almost suede like fabric became the ultimate track top and as we know admired by casual onlookers. Borg wore various colours captured in silver grey and navy.
Nick Loves The Firm film premiere attracted a varied crowd who all sported various forms of Fila Vintage clothing, with an elite few in the Fila Terrinda Red and Nick Love in his new favoured Kelly Green. Caught on camera were Simon Webb of Blue and our very own Neil Primett suggesting a better colour Polo would have made sense.
In the run up to The Firm release 80s casual classics major stockist to The Firm looked to get their own Firm shot not wishing to be out done by Bex,Dom, Jay, Yusef etc it was Terrindas all round. All the classic colours include French Blue, Red, Navy and White.
